Cruisin Gilbert’s: Reviews & Ratings

WHY EVEN TRY

Cruising has always been great. My wife and I like to try new items from time to time at places we have discovered and enjoy. Unfortunately the other day wasn’t the case. While the service, and drinks were on point, the food was not. We order the Cruisins pizza which comes with your classic Sausage, Mushrooms, Green Peppers, and Onions. Overall the pizza was just not enjoyable. The sauce was bland and minimal coverage, it tasted very plain only tasting the veggies which is like a salad. A few sausage piece and the crust was hard, dry, and tasteless, like cardboard. My wife stated frozen pizza would’ve been more flavorful. My only advice is to add more seasoning to the sauce, add more sauce, and add some seasoning to your pizza dough. Always garnish with a dabble of Italian seasoning depending on the pizza order of course. Oh and cook till a light golden brown, forgot to mention our cheese was white barely melted to the point the whole piece of cheese flopped off. Will we be back, hell yeah! But definitely not for pizza.

First timer. Atmosphere was classic. I enjoyed ESPN and other sporting events on tv. Music was cool. Food was good not great but the sweet chili flavored wings are perfect. Wife & I had the italian beef and classic grill chicken sandwich. That was fine. Our waitress was good. Price of menu is standard. Go give it a try if your in Gilberts if your looking for good food & drinks.

Fantastic! Pub atmosphere with restaurant food! Blue Points, Flounder Florentine special, baked haddock, delicious sides! Great beer and drink list also!

Small out of the way restaurant serving up good food. Decorated nicely with a country vs. Car theme. We chose to go mid Saturday afternoon. Wide variety of things on menu. We started with onion rods. Served with a nice dip. For our main course we did ribeye and filet mignon with baked potatoes and upgraded soup to French onion. French onion soup never came. We reminded our server when she asked could she get us anything. Thank goodness the foods were delicious. Steaks were as we requested medium rare. It is definitely a place we'll keep in my and return to try something else.

I took my husband and 4 kids to Cruisin Gilberts for Fish Fry Friday and it did not disappoint! We got the Oysters Rockefeller, shrimp and fried mushrooms, it was all good but the Oysters were amazing. We had fries, clam chowder and onion soup as sides. We had the beer battered combo, the kids fish and the beer battered shrimp. The food was great, the portions were big and everyone took food home.

Awesome service and awesome ambiance. Kenny was amazing for us start to finish. We ended up getting burgers which were cooked perfectly and the fries were excellent. They also had a chicken verde soup which was amazing. Definitely worth a stop

This place is amazing. The two times I've been here, I got the chicken tenders both times, and the 2nd time we grabbed some fried mushrooms. Chicken is massive and delicious, and the mushrooms were nice and crispy. I believe the ranch is made in house, and it was great, as well. I don't think you can go wrong with anything here.

We stopped by Cruisin tonight, a Monday night. It was not very crowded at all. The atmosphere was very nice and fit the theme of “Cruisin” with the road signs, memorabilia, and more, including the garage doors that made you feel like you are in a garage style shop. The service was very efficient and good. We got 4 appetizers to share for two of us: fried mushrooms, fried pickles, loaded fries (with pulled pork), and boneless wings. All tasted good and was plentiful. I recommend this to anyone along 72.

From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a casual atmosphere where the hum of ESPN and the shuffle of good conversation fill the room, setting the perfect backdrop for gathering with friends or family.

The menu is a testament to traditional American grill favorites, with standout dishes that promise satisfaction. The walleye and baked haddock showcase fresh, flaky fish cooked to perfection, while the French onion soup — though occasionally missed in service — remains a comforting classic with its rich, caramelized broth and melted cheese topper. For meat lovers, the ribs and steak sandwiches deliver robust flavors and generous portions, highlighted by tender cuts and smoky seasonings. The chicken wings, especially the sweet chili variety, offer a delightful balance of heat and sweetness that keeps you coming back for more.

Snacks and sides here elevate the experience — the fried pickles and onion straws come crisp and flavorful, perfect for sharing. The sweet potato fries and rodeo fries add a sweet and savory contrast that pairs well with their classic cheeseburgers and buffalo chicken sandwiches. Notably, Cruisin Gilbert’s also embraces inclusivity with options like gluten-free pizza and a sausage plate for those seeking variety beyond the grill staples.

While not every dish hits the mark—some, like the pizza, may need more seasoning and a better crust—the overall food quality and portion sizes impress. The pub’s dedication to hearty meals and a great beer list complements the friendly, attentive service that keeps locals and newcomers alike returning. Whether you’re there for Fish Fry Friday or a casual mid-day bite, Cruisin Gilbert’s offers consistent comfort with a hint of hometown charm.

In summary, Cruisin Gilbert’s stands out as a reliable spot in Gilberts for those craving classic American bar & grill fare with a broad menu that satisfies varied tastes. The atmosphere invites lingering over drinks and good conversation, while the dishes remind you that simple, well-executed food can hit the spot every time.
